In Wake Of 2 Tip-Over Deaths, IKEA Taking Action To Prevent Further Incidents

IKEA is taking action after reports of the deaths of two children caused by the company's furniture.

IKEA is offering a free wall anchoring kit for about 27 million chests and dressers that officials say can pose a tip-over hazard.

The products include Malm three and four-drawer chests and two styles of Malm six-dresser chests.

Consumers are urged not to use IKEA children's chests and drawers taller than 23-and-a-half inches and adult chests and drawers taller than 29-and-a-half inches, unless they are securely anchored to the wall.
