Ed Bouchette: Don't Hold Your Breath On Extensions For Beachum & Foster
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – 93-7 The Fan Steelers insider Ed Bouchette of the Post-Gazette joined "The Fan Morning Show" on Wednesday to offer up the latest news and notes on Steelers training camp.
Bouchette was asked about the possibility of the Steelers getting another contract extension done before the season, namely with offensive linemen Kelvin Beachum or Ramon Foster. Bouchette said not to expect anything to get done.
"I wouldn't hold my breath on that," Bouchette said. "I really wouldn't. I think there's a chance on Kelvin. I don't think there's any chance on Ramon, and I know when Ramon was on ["The Fan Morning Show" as a co-host] earlier this summer and I was talking to him I thought there was, but since then, I just don't think they're going to do him. Maybe in the offseason."
Both Beachum and Foster will both be unrestricted free agents following this season.
