Search For Masked Men Who Robbed Bethel Park Bank At Gunpoint

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are looking for the men who robbed a Bethel Park bank Friday.

Officials say three men wearing ski masks robbed the First Niagara Bank on Route 88 in the Hill Crest Shops at gunpoint around 9:30 a.m., shortly after it opened for business.

"Three masked males entered the bank, demanded money, they fled with an undetermined amount of cash," said Chief Tim O'Connor, of Bethel Park Police.

It's unclear how much money they got away with.

Police say no shots were fired and no one was hurt.

The suspects were seen leaving the bank in a tan or gold sedan with a Texas license plate with the number "PCY 970." Witnesses say the car also had duct tape on the bumper.

"There was also duct tape observed on the rear bumper of this vehicle. If anyone has any information on this incident we urge you to call Bethel Park Police," said Chief O'Connor.

The FBI believes two of the suspects are white males 40- to 50-years-old and 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall. The third suspect is identified as a black male in his 40s, also 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall.

Authorities say they left the bank and drove to a stop and shop convenience store on Route 88 and two of them jumped into a white Chevy with rust on the hood.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 412-833-2000.
