Police Make Arrest In Connection With McKees Rocks Fatal Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting earlier this week in McKees Rocks that claimed the life of an aspiring rapper.

According to Allegheny County Police, 22-year-old Joshua Strayhorn was arrested Thursday evening at a home on Shadeland Street in the city.

Strayhorn has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Investigators say Stayhorn was driving the dark gray Chrysler seen in the 700-block of Frederick Street, where 22-year old Michael Nolen was fatally shot on Tuesday.

Police say Nolen was shot multiple times as he was driving an SUV through the neighborhood.

He crashed into a fence and parked car, and a firefighter who lives nearby tried CPR, but he couldn't be revived. Nolen was an aspiring rapper known as "Spike G."

Sources tell KDKA Strayhorn is the prime suspect in the shooting death of Nolen. However, homicide charges have not been filed in the case.

Strayhorn is being held in the Allegheny County Jail while waiting to be arraigned.

Police say they served a search warrant at the home where he was arrested and seized guns and drugs.
