Afternoon Storms Could Bring Hail, Gusty Winds & Lightning

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – While the sun was out over Pittsburgh Monday morning, it may not last long.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Ron Smiley, some severe weather may pop up this afternoon.

The Federal Storm Prediction Center has our area under a marginal severe risk for today.

Smiley said there is a possibility for some Severe Thunderstorm Warnings this afternoon. Hail, strong winds and lightning can be expected with those storms.

For tonight, some areas could see up to 1.5 inches of rain.

Today's high is expected to be 84 degrees.
