Man's Body Found At Ohiopyle State Park

DUNBAR, Pa. (AP) - Officials say a man's body has been found near a popular whitewater rafting area of the Lower Youghiogheny River.

Ohiopyle State Park manager Ken Bisbee tells The Tribune-Review that the body was found shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday near the Rivers End Rapids area.

The Fayette County coroner's office has been called in. The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Darryl Lohr, of Mount Pleasant.

In April, a kayaker found the body of a Carnegie man who fell into the river from the park's observation deck.

Twenty-year-old Michael Davila apparently slipped on a wet rock and fell into to the waterfall on March 18. His body was found about five miles from where he fell into the river.
