Get Marty: Police Seek Suspects In Shooting Of McDonald's Employee

MOUNT OLIVER (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Police Department reached out to Get Marty for help with a shooting investigation.

"We need your help raising $5,000 in reward money," says Pittsburgh Police Homicide Detective George Sadler.

Police say Denise Golden was walking home from work July 20 from her job at McDonald's. It was about 12:30 a.m. on Brownsville Road in Mount Oliver.

Police detectives say two men walked passed her, called her a name and shot her.

"She is a truly innocent victim. She wasn't robbed. She was shot in the chest and left for dead," says Detective Sadler.

Police reached out KDKA'S Marty Griffin and Get Marty because they need reward money to offer folks for information in the case.

"You can remain anonymous. We want to solve this case," says Detective Sadler.

Golden, a Mount Oliver resident, was in a coma following the shooting. Her recovery is described as miraculous.

"It hurts to breath. I lost half my lung," says Golden. "I just want justice. Please help me get justice."

Thanks to the generosity of several local business owners who wish to remain anonymous, The Get Marty Team was able to raise the $5,000 reward.

The McDonald's in Mount Oliver also donated $1,000.

"We believe it's important. Denise was a valued employee. She deserves justice," says McDonald's franchise owner Michelle Rice.

If you have information regarding this case, police ask you to call 412-323-7161. You can remain anonymous.
