Ramon Foster: Ben Never Lets Us Forget That We Make The Offense Go

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Steelers offensive lineman Ramon Foster joined Chris Mack, Josh Miller, and Jim Colony on "The Fan Morning Show" for his weekly appearance, which happens every Tuesday at 8:03 a.m.

This week, Foster expressed his satisfaction with the offense's red zone execution against the 49ers.

"We executed," Foster said. "We didn't take ourselves out of the red zone. That first week man - and before - we've done things to take ourselves out of the red zone, whether it's been negative plays, or penalties, or just not connecting. We've got to execute on that part right there. It's going to be a big part of our success, is whether or not, how much we can score in the red zone, and this past week, Ben called it, coach Haley did it, it was just a great effort all the way around."

Foster said that the offensive line takes pride in being the starting point for all the amazing things that this offense can do.

"Ben never lets us forget that we make this offense go," Foster said. "He says it all the time, almost every single game- this offense goes as far as the o-line lets it. There's the added pressure from him as far as wanting to get it done, and we all know the tools that we have on the offense. I mean, we've got running backs, we've got receivers, and you've got a quarterback that can make it happen at any point in time."

Foster knows that defenses will be gunning for those weapons, which makes his job all the more rewarding.

"We take pride in keeping Ben clean, because he's the guy that guys love getting sack trophies on. He's a guy that everybody wants to hit, or if they hit him, because he's so hard to take down, then they want to get him in a bad way. So, we take pride in keeping him clean and making sure that he's making the plays for us."
