Dozens Of Kids Receive Marvel Superhero Training

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - What has 25 superheroes and villains and is fun for all ages?

Marvel Universe Live!

The show opens today at Consol Energy Center.

Yesterday, some kids had a chance to see what being a superhero is all about.

Dozens of kids from the Light of Life Mission got to be superheroes thanks to the folks at Marvel Universe Live.

The kids got to learn the moves from some of the performers, who say the show is like a comic book coming to life.

"There's pyrotechnics, motorcycles, so many stunts through the whole thing," Erika Keck said.

All those stunts require lots of stretching and once the kids had the moves down, they learned how to move like a superhero. For some, acting like The Hulk was a highlight.

"We got to smash the blocks around," Navaeh Brookins said.

This is the first year the show has made come to Pittsburgh and the kids are glad the superheroes decided to check out the 'Burgh.

"It was very exciting, and it was very interesting," Carley Fair said.

There are seven shows from tonight through Sunday afternoon.

Tickets are still available, which can be ordered here.
