Late-Night Tailgating: Macaroni And Cheese Burger

This week on "Steelers Late Night," we're cooking up Macaroni and Cheese with Roasted Lobster and Mushrooms and serving it over a Grilled Bacon Burger!

Macaroni And Cheese Burger

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound rigatoni
  • 1 quart milk
  • Salt and pepper t t
  • Olive oil
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 12 ounces gruyere cheese
  • 8 ounces extra sharp cheddar
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1½ pounds cooked chopped lobster meat
  • 2 pounds assorted mushrooms - roasted, chopped
  • 1½ cups bread crumbs

 

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta until al dente in boiling salted water . drain well and cool
  2. Meanwhile, melt ¾ stick of butter and add flour to create roux .cook over low heat whisking out all the lumps. Add the milk and cook out 3 more minutes.
  3. Next, add cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Take mixing bowl add pasta lobster and mushrooms pour cheese sauce over and mix well until fully incorporated
  5. Place in casserole or individual baking dishes.
  6. Top with bread crumbs and butter and bake until golden and bubbly.
  7. Now that you have the base for the mac grill off your favorite burgers and bacon add some sauces and serve on any bun you desire.
