Pittsburgh Company Unveils Self-Installing Car Seat In Honor Of Back To The Future Day

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Pittsburgh-based baby product developer has unveiled a new self-installing car seat just in time for "Back to the Future Day."

4moms says they have invented the first of a kind car seat that will go on sale in 2016.

The company posted a video on YouTube showing off the new car seat.

They say it will level and auto-tension the car seat.

The base will also verify installation and carrier connection before each ride.

The seat also features dual LCD screens.

"Knowing that over 80% of car seats are installed incorrectly, 4moms felt that we had a unique opportunity to make installing a car seat dramatically better," said Director of Product Management Mara McFadden. "It's been awesome to help make the car seat of the future a reality, and we just had to share the fun on Back to the Future day!"

The car seat has reportedly been in the works for more than five-years.
