Ed Bouchette: Steelers' Loss To Chiefs Wasn't All That Bad

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – 93-7 The Fan's Steelers insider and Post-Gazette writer Ed Bouchette joined "The Fan Morning Show" on Monday to offer his thoughts on the Steelers' 23-13 loss to the Chiefs in Kansas City.

While the loss was frustrating to Steelers fans, Bouchette didn't think they blew an easy opportunity to win.

"I don't know that this is one game where you can say they should have won," Bouchette said. "You can look at [the loss to] Baltimore and say that. But, not this one."

According to Bouchette, the Steelers seemed to feel that way, too.

"I've seen two completely different locker rooms after losses here lately," Bouchette said. "The one to Baltimore, it was like they lost a playoff game. They were not happy in that game, and I don't know if it was [Josh Scobee] missing that kick or what it was. Yesterday, it wasn't bad...it was like, okay, we went 2-2 [without Ben Roethlisberger], and we got the big guy coming back, we're still in this thing."

So, will the big guy be back and ready to go next week for sure?

"Here's what I think," Bouchette said. "They say he's coming back. He says he feels good. He's coming back. Then, we can watch him play and determine - like that game in San Francisco [in 2011] when he shouldn't have played - if he's effective or not, or if he came back too early."

Bouchette joins "The Fan Morning Show" on mornings after Steelers games, usually at 8:03 a.m.
