Furry Tails: National Cat Day
Did you give any extra love to your favorite feline friend today?
If not, you still have some time! That's because it's National Cat Day.
People from far and wide have taken to social media today to post photos of their cats using the hashtag, #NationalCatDay.
There's even a National Cat Day website.
They offer up 20 ways to celebrate the day, including adoption to donating to animal shelters to buying your cat a treat or a new toy, and also, commissioning a custom portrait of your cat. Plus, much more!
CNN also weighed in with five ways to celebrate: watching cat videos, adopting, visiting a cozy cat café, and curling up on the couch with your favorite cat.
Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh area animal shelters also took to Twitter to wish everyone a great day.
