Pitt Hockey Team Raising Breast Cancer Awareness

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- You can support the Pitt hockey team and help raise money for breast cancer awareness at the same time.

The players are teaming up with Magee-Womens Hospital for the "Pink the Rink" event on Saturday, Nov. 21.

Pitt is taking on West Virginia University that afternoon.

All proceeds will go to breast cancer research and patient care.

"I know, me personally, I've had a lot of close friends and family that have passed away and have been affected by this, and I know our team has also had a lot of close ties to breast cancer, and we just want to make a difference in our community," said Jason Cohen, a Pitt hockey player.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and Chinese and silent auctions.

Adult tickets are $10 and students get in for $7. Kids under 10 are free.
