Mother Of Young Murder Victim Asks for Justice

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The mother of a young murder victim called for her son's killer to turn himself in Friday morning at a news conference.

"I have one who's never going to be the same again, and my baby's in the morgue. My baby is cold and he shouldn't be," said Amanda McKnight as she spoke to reporters Friday morning. McKnight says it feels like a nightmare, when she thinks about what happened inside her Mt. Oliver home Sunday night. Both of her sons, 11-year-old David and 16-year-old C.J., were shot by someone who came through the front door and started shooting.

"My son saw his little brother die in front of him, no child, no parent, no one should have to face that," said McKnight, when she recalled C.J. watching David being shot in their living room.

David McIntyre was shot in the head and died at the home. C.J. (Chris Conrad, Jr.) was shot six times. His father, who drove to Pittsburgh from Georgia after the shooting, says the 16-year-old has a bullet lodged in one of his arms, and he has damage to his liver, lung and diaphragm. Amanda McKnight says she believes her children were targeted. She says they were simply at home, playing video games.

"How could you just walk into someone's house, not say a word and shoot a child?" she sobbed. "You probably don't even know my children."

Allegheny County Police have not released any information regarding a suspect. They, along with Pittsburgh Police and Amanda McKnight, want whoever is responsible to come forward.

"Anybody that knows anything, please give us justice, please," cried McKnight. "I don't ask for nothing, but I want justice for my baby. And I don't want it through the streets. I want this coward to look me in the eye and tell me why he shot my children."

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses: https://www.gofundme.com/8z83jmuc

McKnight also said they made the decision to donate David's corneas, so someone else will be able to see the world.
