Fire Marshal Investigating Series Of Car Fires In Duquesne

DUQUESNE (KDKA)- The Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office is looking into several car fires in Duquesne.

Officials have taken one man into custody near the scene of the fires.

The car fires were set around 4:20 a.m. Monday. One car was set on fire in the 1100 block of Overland Avenue. A pickup truck was set on fire a few minutes later in the 200 block of Miller Avenue.

The owner of the Overland Avenue vehicle said another car was set on fire in the neighborhood on Sunday.

On the scene along Miller Avenue, fire marshal's office had an arson dog sniffing through the burned out pickup truck. They also found a pair of shoes, an evidence marker and a rug. There were also clothes found on the sidewalk.
