Indiana County Suspect Flees Police, Slips Out Of Handcuffs While In Custody

WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA)- A Robinson woman faces a long list of charges after running from police.

Saturday night, officers noticed two suspicious vehicles along Reynolds Road in West Wheatfield Township. State police say the area is known for high drug trafficking, scattered rubbish and gunshots being fired.

After they put on their emergency lights, officers noticed a black Chevrolet Cobalt come to a stop and then take off. A pursuit began and a few minutes later the car was pulled over.

Police took 51-year-old Nancy Penrose into custody. But, while she was in custody, she slipped out of her handcuffs.

Penrose faces charges of resisting arrest, escape, fleeing or attempting to elude police and disorderly conduct.
