Ramon Foster: People In My Hometown Love Me, But Women Love Coach Tomlin

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Steelers OL Ramon Foster joined "The Fan Morning Show" in his regular weekly spot on Tuesday to look ahead to Sunday's game against the Seahawks in Seattle.

The Steelers are getting back in the swing of things following their bye week.

Foster said the bye week didn't make his body feel like new, but it did help him feel refreshed mentally.

"I rested for the most part, other than being on the road, running errands, and stuff like that in Tennessee," Foster said. "Everything was good. Mentally yesterday, I felt really, really good. It's the time of the year where you don't really fully heal up - you just feel a little bit better...but mentally, it's probably the best break I've had in a while."

Foster is a big fan of having the Steelers' bye week in Week 11.

"In the beginning, it seems like a long stretch, but it came at the right time," Foster said. "It couldn't have come at a better time. This time of the year is when football really starts to heat up. Everybody's talking about the playoff runs, and who's hot, and who's in, and stuff like that right now. So, that break came at the right point."

When he goes home to Tennessee during the bye week, Foster always gets a warm reception.

"The majority of my hometown is at least half-Steelers fans," Foster said. "So, it's fun to hear them giving feedback and stuff like that. They always say, 'I was watching you,' or, 'I loved this, and I loved that...' It's just good to go back there and see who's actually watching it. The young kids enjoy it. It's good to see them take full circle and becoming a Pittsburgh Steelers fan."

Foster isn't always the fan favorite in his hometown, though.

"Most of the women usually have, like, a crush on coach Tomlin," Foster said. "They just feel like they need to disclose that with me."

"It's usually the old black ladies," Foster said. "They just have a crush on him for some reason."
