Banksville Rite Aid Robbery Suspect Sought
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are looking for a man in connection with a robbery in Banksville early Monday morning.
According to police, the incident happened at the Rite Aid in the 3200-block of Banksville Road around 12:26 a.m.
The suspect entered the store and brought a bottle of soda to the cashier. When the cash register opened during the transaction, the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed the drawer.
After a brief struggle, the suspect was able to grab an undisclosed amount of cash. He fled the scene in a white vehicle, possibly a Honda, in the direction of Greentree Road.
The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 35 years of age. He is about 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a black hat with a black Steelers sweatshirt and blue jeans.
