Police Investigating Alleged Inappropriate Photos, Sex Acts Between North Allegheny Students

McCANDLESS (KDKA) -- McCandless Township Police are investigating a North Allegheny Intermediate High School student accused of running a scheme involving nude pictures.

The male student allegedly told other male students to send him a picture of themselves naked.

Once that picture was sent, the suspect reportedly threatened to post the picture on social media unless the senders agreed to have sex with him.

Officers say the investigation is complicated. Currently, there are two victims but police say there could be as many as six.

As for why the alleged victims would send such a picture, police say bullying may be involved.

The Allegheny School District released a statement reading: "We recently became aware of the situation involving 9th and 10th grade students at North Allegheny Intermediate High School allegedly involving in appropriate photos and sexual acts between students in which some students may have been victimized. The McCandless Township Police is currently conducting an investigation and we are cooperating fully with police on this matter."
