Central Catholic's Damar Hamlin Decides On Pitt

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- One of the top college football prospects in the state of Pennsylvania has made his decision, and Pitt is it.

Central Catholic DB/WR Damar Hamlin chose the University of Pittsburgh Panthers football team live on KDKA-TV Monday night.

"I felt like I could accomplish everything I want to accomplish academically. I can be the businessman I want to be; and athletically, I bought into Coach [Pat] Narduzzi's plan, and I wanted to get my city back to where it should be," said Hamlin. "I turned down some great universities, some special opportunities that a lot of people don't get and I'm just dedicated to it."

Hamlin had his choices of major schools to go to, at one point he was scouted by 48 teams.
