Giant Eagle Recalls Breaded Cod Fillets Due To Undeclared Allergen

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Giant Eagle is pulling Giant Eagle brand Japanese Breaded Cod Fillets from the shelves, due to an undeclared soy allergen.

All fillets prepared and sold from the Seafood department through Feb. 4 have been recalled. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to may have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The fillets were sold from the Seafood department with a UPC beginning with 268106. Around 420 were sold in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The product is safe for people who do not have soy allergies. The fillets can be returned to Giant Eagle for a full refund.
