Top 10 Super Bowl 50 Commercials

By Ryan Mayer, CBS Local Sports

The Super Bowl has come and gone with the Broncos beating the Panthers, 24 to 10. But, for as much fun as the spectacle of the big game is, it's the commercials that often last in our memories more than the games themselves. Whether it's Terry Tate: Office Linebacker, or the zebra under the hood while a couple of cowboys look on, we all have our favorites. This year was a pretty good one for commercials, let's see if we can pick the Top 10 shall we?

10) Steve Harvey "Redemption"

Look, Steve Harvey became an instant Internet meme with his screw up of the Miss Universe announcement. Give him credit though, he steered right into the criticism with this Super Bowl ad. Well done.

9) Steve Tyler "The Portrait"

The Aerosmith musician poked some fun at himself for hitting those crazy high notes with this commercial.

8) "Restricted Bling"

My favorite part of this commercial? "I've told a lot of people I'm from Canada. I lied."

7) "Never A Sellout"

Anthony Hopkins doesn't sell out guys. Just know that.

6) "Distractions"

This was the first commercial that got a legitimate belly laugh out of me.

5) "Bud Light Party"

The two comedians had a good time making fun of everything in this star studded commercial. Perfect satire of a political campaign. Sure was there a slightly edgy innuendo thrown in? Yep. But, do you expect any less from these two?

4) "Moving Day"

I'll admit, when this commercial first started I wasn't a huge fan. I can't lie. But, it was the last 10-15 seconds when they pulled out George Washington and Lil' Wayne for the "George and Weezy" reference. I lost it.

3) "The Big Game Meets The Big Day"

Two things. 1) Emily Ratjakowski. 2) Odell Beckham Jr. Well done.

2) "The Longest Chase"

This commercial was funny because of the self awareness by the company. No one actually wants to drive a Prius, which is clearly shown in the commercial as everyone continues to make fun of it, even though it's outrunning everyone.

1) "Marilyn"

My personal favorite of the night. Seeing Willem Defoe in the Marilyn Monroe famous white dress standing over a subway grate was just too much for me to handle.

Here's hoping that we get an even better batch from the advertisers for next year's game. They've got just about 365 days to work on the concepts.
