Man Charged After Posting Nude Photos Of Underage Girls Online

ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A man is facing charges for allegedly posting nude photos of high school girls online.

Police say Carlos Guevera, 19, has been posted images of naked underage girls on various websites for years. It was only after some of the girls saw their pictures on the web that police arrested him.

Guevera is accused of posting the naked pictures on a website known as "Anon-ib."

At least 20 girls from Kiski Area, Apollo Ridge and Leechburg high schools have been identified on the site. All were underage when the pictures were taken. Some were engaged in sexual activities.

"It was determined he had a little over 8,000 images on the system," said Allegheny Township Police Chief John Fontaine.

Police say Guevera took some of the photos, the girls sent him others and other men have shared pictures with him.

"They're establishing relationships and they're sharing these very intimate pictures," said Chief Fontaine. "These relationships end up going sour at some point in time. You don't know where these pictures end up."

Police say Guevera stored thousands of the pictures at his home in Vandergrift, on his computer and on his phone. And it's a growing problem as more and more teens share graphic pictures of themselves.

"This is becoming more of the norm. The age of electronics, cell phones, selfies, Snapchat and all the apps that are out there. We're seeing more of this," Chief Fontaine said.

Guevera has been charged with a long list of felony child porn charges.
