2 Students Treated At Scene After School Bus Rear-Ended
VANDERGRIFT, Pa. (AP) - Two parochial students have been treated at the scene after their school bus was rear-ended.
Scott Koter is the assistant superintendent for the Kiski Area School District, where the crash happened about 8 a.m. Thursday.
Koter says the district's students weren't involved. The district is responsible for busing district residents to other school, however, and the two students involved were headed to Cardinal Maida, a Catholic school in Vandergrift.
Koter and Julie Martin, who owns Byers Busing Co., says the bus stopped to pick up a third student when it was hit and pushed into a cement pole.
Koter says the students were treated at the scene. Martin says her driver was shaken up but appeared to be OK.
Allegheny Township police didn't immediately say whether the car's driver will be cited.
