PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh and Cleveland have a long-standing and heated rivalry when it comes to sports.
Well, apparently, “The Boss” prefers the Steel City to that Ohio city by Lake Erie as well.
At his concert Tuesday night, Bruce Springsteen gave a shout-out to Pittsburgh while on stage. But there was only one problem with that.
His “The River Tour” stop was in Cleveland, not Pittsburgh.
Springsteen quickly tried to recover from the mix-up: “Party noises, Pittsburgh! … and Cleveland, too! Party noises!”
But the mistake had already started trending on Twitter.
One person tweeted “Bruce Springsteen is under the distinct impression that he is in Pittsburgh tonight.”
Springsteen’s The River Tour stopped in Pittsburgh back in January.
