Man Stabbed, Two Women Tied Up With Duct Tape During Home Invasion

HOMEWOOD (KDKA)- Pittsburgh Police are looking for the people who stabbed a man and tied up two women during a violent home invasion Thursday night.

Around 11:50 p.m., police say a woman knocked on the door of a home int he 1000 block of Stoneville Street in Homewood. Police say the homeowners knew the woman, and let her in.

As they were letting her in, several other people burst into the home. The suspects stabbed a man in the house multiple times and used duct tape to tie up two other women.

Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler says the suspects ransacked the home, and there were reports they kidnapped an 18-year-old girl at the scene.

"Initial reports that you heard was that a female was apprehended as a hostage from the house, it is not true," said Toler. "She has been located. Our investigators will be talking to her about the circumstances that happened here."

The man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say either officers or paramedics at the scene were able to help cut the duct tape off of the two women in the house and set them free.

So far, no arrests have been made.
