Man Beaten During Fake Lawn Care Estimate Meeting, 1 Arrested

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) - A Fayette County man is facing charges for allegedly beating up another man during a fake lawn care estimate meeting.

According to the Herald-Standard, the incident happened last month in the 100 block of South Mount Vernon Avenue In Uniontown.

The victim, Albert Thorpe, told police he arranged a meeting with 46-year-old Roy Thompson Jr. for a lawn care estimate.

However, Thorpe had no need for an actual estimate. Instead, Thorpe wanted to speak with the suspect about a prior incident involving his family and Justin Thompson.

During the meeting, Thompson Jr. allegedly punched Thorpe in the face multiple times.

According to the Herald-Standard, Thompson Jr. told police he used to be in the military and "knows how to punch." He is facing a list of charges including aggravated assault and simple assault.

Meanwhile, Thorpe suffered several broken bones in his face, including a broken eye socket.
