Police: 16-Year-Old Wanted For Attempted Homicide

SHARON (KDKA) -- Sharon Police are searching for a 16-year-old boy who they say is wanted for an attempted homicide that took place late Saturday night.

According to police, there was a house party Saturday night at a home in the 500-block of McClure Avenue with between 30 and 50 "young people" in attendance at the time of the incident. Police were called to the scene around 11:15 p.m. and discovered that an 18-year-old man from Farrell, Pa., had been shot in the chest.

The victim was sent to St. Elizabeth's Hospital. His condition is unknown. Police say he was shot in the upper right area of his chest, and the bullet went straight through, exiting through the victim's back.

In connection to the shooting, police have an arrest warrant for 16-year-old Zaire Tamir Hasan, who faces a number of charges including attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault and possession of firearm by a minor.

Hasan's last known address is 329 Jefferson Avenue. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact police.
