Gas Station Robbed For 2nd Time In Less Than A Week

OAKLAND (KDKA)- For the second time in less than a week, a gas station in Oakland was held up at gunpoint.

Around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, a man with a gun entered the Sunoco gas station in the 300 block of Craft Avenue.

The clerk had only been at work for two hours when a masked man walked into the gas station and demanded all the money in the register.

Surveillance footage shows an African-American man with a hooded sweatshirt and a bandana covering his face point a gun at the clerk.

He put a white grocery bag on the counter and kept the silver gun pointed at the clerk.

The robbery took just seconds and the suspect fled the store toward Kennet Square.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Last Thursday night around 11:30 p.m., a similar incident happened at the same gas station.

A man entered the store and pulled a grocery bag from his pocket. He pointed a gun at the store clerk and demanded the money.

As the clerk placed the money in the bag, the suspect then reached for the loose change in the drawer.

He was described as a black man, between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall. He had the hood on his sweatshirt tied tight around his face, along with a bandana.

If you have any information on either robbery, call Pittsburgh Police.
