PRC Announces "Hard To Recycle" Collections Schedule

Doing some spring cleaning?

The Pennsylvania Resources Council is out with its Hard-to-Recycle Collection schedule.

The PRC is hosting several collection events across the area starting next month.

You can drop off electronics, like old cell phones and computers, along with household chemicals, prescription drugs and toner cartridges.

PRC's 2016 Hard-To-Recycle Collection Schedule:

  • April 16 at Pittsburgh Technical Institute in Oakdale, Allegheny County
  • May 14 at Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Frazer Township, Allegheny County
  • June 25 at ANSYS, Inc. in Canonsburg, Washington County
  • July 30 (location to be announced)
  • August 20 at Century III Mall in West Mifflin, Allegheny County
  • October 1 at The Mall at Robinson in Robinson Township, Allegheny County

 

2016 Household Chemical Collection Schedule:

  • May 7 at North Park, Allegheny County
  • May 21 at Concurrent Technologies Corporation ETF Facility, Johnstown, Cambria County
  • July 9 at Washington County Fairgrounds, Washington County
  • August 13 at Boyce Park, Allegheny County
  • September 17 at South Park, Allegheny County
  • October 8 at Bradys Run Park, Beaver County

 

The PRC says Saturday, April 30 has been set as the DEA's National Drug Take-Back Day. Also, on Saturday, June 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., ReuseFest will be held in the parking lot of Jefferson Middle School in Mount Lebanon.
