McKeesport Schools Employee Accused Of Molesting Three Girls

MCKEESPORT (KDKA) -- A McKeesport Area School District employee is accused of sexually abusing three children.

A criminal complaint states that William Mellinger, 50, molested three young girls. He is charged with aggravated indecent assault, three counts of indecent assault, three counts of corruption of a minor and three felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor.

Mellinger was reportedly friends with the father of two of the alleged victims.

The McKeesport Area School District released a statement reading:

The McKeesport Area School District became aware of an arrest of a support staff employee in our district. The employee has been inactive for over a year and the District will ensure he will have no contact with District students nor access to District facilities. Our administration takes this matter very seriously and we hold our employees to the highest standards for the protection of our students.

Police have not said if the alleged victims of abuse were students in the district.

Mellinger's ex-wife Michelle, a former teacher's aid for the same district, is headed to trial next week, accused of having sex with at least six teenage boys.
