Driver Dies After Being Shot Multiple Times In Fineview

FINEVIEW (KDKA) – A man has died after being shot multiple times while driving in Fineview Friday morning.

According to police, the incident happened near the intersection of Henderson and Fountain Streets around 9:47 a.m.

Police were initially called the to the area for a report of shots being fired.

When they arrived, they found a vehicle had overturned after hitting a curb and crashing into a fence.

The 27-year-old male driver had been shot multiple times and was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition. He died at 3 p.m.

No arrests have been made, but a white Ford Focus is believed to have been seen fleeing the area.

This crime is the latest in a string of shootings, in which occupants of one car fire upon another.  One happened Tuesday on the North Side. The other was in Perry South Wednesday.
