Attempted Armed Robbery Under Investigation In Carrick

CARRICK (KDKA) -- Police are working to find the person who fired a gunshot while attempting to rob someone in Carrick.

Officers say it happened Thursday around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Brownsville Road and East Agnew Street.

Upon arrival, police found a 35-year-old man who told them he was approached by an armed man while walking home.

The gunman demanded money and the victim's cellphone, but he refused. This prompted the suspect to fire a shot and run away.

The suspect is described as a black man with a light complexion, standing approximately 6'2" and wighing 185 pounds.
