Man Arrested For Gun, Drug Possession After Asking Police For Help

BRENTWOOD (KDKA) -- A man asked Brentwood Borough police for help Friday when he thought someone was breaking into his house but ended up getting arrested himself.

Brentwood Borough police say around 9:40 p.m., a man approached an officer who was on patrol and told the officer that someone was trying to break into his home. When police were searching the house for intruders, they found a large amount of what they believed to be marijuana and cash.

Police then obtained search warrants for the home and discovered multiple guns, including a semi-automatic rifle, about $20,000 in cash and a large amount of marijuana.

The man was placed under arrest and is awaiting prosecution. His identity has not been released.
