Two Men Arrested After Police Chase Through Several Westmoreland Co. Communities

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA)- Police have arrested two men from Jeannette for a police chase that spanned several communities in Westmoreland County.

On Saturday, police noticed a stolen car at the intersection of Route 30 and Everglade Road in Hempfield Township.

The troopers turned on their lights and sirens, but the driver, 19 year old Antonio Wilkins, sped away.

The pursuit went through Hempfield Township, Penn Borough, Manor Borough, Penn Township, North Huntingdon Township and Jeannette.

The chase ended when the suspect's vehicle crashed.

Wilkins and 20 year old Colton Stennett were taken into custody and booked into the Westmoreland County Jail. Wilkins was charged with fleeing and eluding, receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment and numerous traffic offenses.

Two 12 year olds who were in the car were treated and released from Westmoreland Regional Hospital.

Another 12 year old and a 15 year old inside the stolen car were released to their parents' custody.

Police say all four juveniles in the car were from Jeannette.
