Local Sports Apparel Company Produces NFL Draft Jerseys

MASONTOWN (KDKA) -- A local sports apparel company is involved in one of America's time-honored traditions: the NFL Draft.

According to the Observer-Reporter, a team from Stahl's Decorating Fulfillment Center near Masontown made customized jerseys, turning them out just minutes after the first-round picks were selected at the ceremony in Chicago.

A group of three people work quickly, using a hot press to print the names of each drafted player onto the back of their new team jersey. The rookies then show off their new jersey next to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Company manager Kim Jones told the Observer-Reporter that her crew enjoyed the experience.

"It's a lot of fun and a lot of people get to go to the NFL Draft who have never been before," she said.

She also said a serious amount of planning goes into the operation, to make sure the team can customize the jerseys quickly and correctly.
