5th Juvenile Arrested For School Threat In Ohio County

WAYNESVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Authorities in a southwest Ohio county say they have arrested another juvenile after threats prompted a Waynesville school to be evacuated.

Police say the 12-year-old girl was taken into custody Friday on charges of inducing panic and making false alarms at Waynesville High School and Middle School.

She is the fifth juvenile arrested for school threats in Warren County, north of Cincinnati, since last week. Three teens were arrested Friday after two bomb threats, one at the Lebanon High School and one at Lebanon Junior High. Another teen was charged Wednesday.

The Waynesville district said it also received a threat Thursday but it decided no evacuation was required.

The county prosecutor has urged parents to warn students he will recommend jail time for those caught making threats.
