Two-Time Hart Trophy Winner Crosby Once Again Named Finalist
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is once again a finalist for the Hart Memorial Trophy.
Crosby has been nominated for the award multiple times in the past and won twice, in 2013 and 2007.
The other two finalists this year are Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn and Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane.

The Hart Memorial Trophy is awarded "to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team," according to the NHL.
According to the Penguins, former Penguin Mario Lemieux is the only three-time winner of the Hart Memorial Trophy in franchise history, giving Crosby the chance to tie his record.
The winner will be announced at the 2016 NHL Awards in Las Vegas on June 22.
It was announced Sunday that former Penguin Pascal Dupuis, who recently retired due to health concerns, is a finalist for the NHL's Masterton Trophy, which goes to "the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey." The Masterton Trophy winner will also be announced at the NHL Awards ceremony.
