Man Arrested In Stolen Vehicle After Attempting To Flee From Police
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- One man is behind bars after allegedly stealing a vehicle and attempting to flee from police.
Officials said around 7 p.m. Sunday officers in the area of Brownsville Road were notified that a stolen vehicle had been spotted near them.
They located the stolen vehicle. In addition to a driver, they noticed there were two other people inside.
Officers followed the vehicle to Boggs Avenue in Mount Washington.

The driver parked and began to exit the stolen vehicle, but when he noticed police approaching, he stepped on the gas and attempted to flee.
According to a news release, the driver "almost ran over an officer, and crashed into a telephone pole."
Two passengers were released at the scene. The driver, who was identified as 21-year-old Corey Singleton, was taken into custody.
Singleton faces charges including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, receiving stolen property, and driving without a license.
