Leechburg Police: Substitute Teacher Investigated For Inappropriate Contact Allegations

LEECHBURG (KDKA) -- The Leechburg Police Department is investigating allegations of inappropriate contact between a substitute teacher and several students.

According to authorities, nine girls have come forward so far, and "provided written statements to investigators."

They say the alleged behavior has been going on since late-February, but it was just reported to police on Friday.

According to Leechburg Police, a concerned teacher in the school district made a child line report with the department. The investigation points to a substitute teacher allegedly having inappropriate physical contact with female students.

Investigators say written statements allege that the "children had advised specific teachers and the principal of these incidents and their concerns."

The investigation continues.
