UPDATE: Victim In New Kensington Shooting Has Died

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) -- A man was flown to the hospital after a late night shooting in New Kensington.

According to police, the shooting happened around 11 p.m. Sunday in Moss Alley, near Fifth Avenue.

Neighbors said they heard two gunshots.

Police found a man in his 20s suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and side.

The chief of police said the ambulance arrived at the scene within minutes and was able to get the New Kensington man stable enough to take him to Valley High School. From there, he was airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital and was last listed in critical condition.

According to the Post-Gazette, the victim, 25-year-old Todd Rogers, died at a Pittsburgh hospital Tuesday morning.

Police had said the victim is known to officers.

Because police haven't been able to find any eyewitnesses, they're not sure who the shooter may be.

Officers found two shell casings that appear to have come from one gun.

New Kensington Police are asking for the public's help about anybody who may have seen or heard anything. They say any information will be helpful in this case.
