An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the home.

The two women who live there were not home at the time. One of the women was alerted to the burglary via an alert on her phone.

"She was at work at the time, she viewed the video and saw three masked gunmen with assault-type rifles walk past her living room and go up the steps," said Deputy Chief David Adam with Butler City police.

Officers say the suspects forced the back door open and escaped the same way.

"We're concerned about the safety of the citizens of Butler and want them to know this is going on and to be vigilant, keep an eye out for any type of problem like that," said Deputy Chief Adam.

No arrests have been made at this time.
