Hines Ward Believes Antonio Brown Can Catch 150 Passes

By Trevor Peele

Hines Ward knows a thing or two about the wide receiver position having played 14 seasons and winning two Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He accomplished more at the position than anyone in the franchises history.

The future Hall of Famer joined Dukes and Bell on 92.9 The Game in Atlanta and sided with current Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown on wanting 150 catches this season.

"The way the Steelers are passing the ball, he can match that accomplishment real quick" said Ward. "The guy is an elite receiver, you really can't guard him in any way."

In 2013 Brown caught 110 passes, he broke that record with 129 catches in 2014 and proceeded to break that record with 136 catches in 2015. Brown leads all receivers over the past three years with 375 receptions for 5,031 yards.

After his 2015 campaign, Brown now has his sights on setting a new single-season record for catches. The only player in his way — Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, the former Indianapolis Colt star who went for 143 receptions in 2002.
