Police: 3-Year-Old Killed By Mom Had Bite Marks On Torso

THOMASVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A 3-year-old Pennsylvania girl who police say was killed by her mother had "several deep bite marks on her torso" and packets of synthetic marijuana were found near her body.

Northern York County Regional Police say the girl's autopsy was completed Friday, but the results are pending. They say in a statement the child had bruising "in numerous areas of body."

The girl was found lifeless in the kitchen of a Thomasville home Wednesday evening, and her mother was charged after being found naked in a street.

Court documents say the girl's mother, 30-year-old Regina Lester, told a neighbor she "had to get the darkness out of her." Police say she then ran to another neighbor's house and said, "I need to kill your kids."

Lester faces homicide and other charges.
