Report: Butler Co. Man Accused In Multiple Burglaries At Parents' Pizza Shop

BUTLER (KDKA) – A man is facing charges for burglarizing his parents' pizza shop in Butler County on multiple occasions.

According to a Butler Eagle report, the incidents happened at Pizza Joe's on North Main Street in Butler.

Surveillance video shows the suspect, 24-year-old Shane Bates, enter the business and disarm the alarm system. He then proceeds to the cash register, steals money and leaves.

A total of $960 was stolen from the restaurant over two days.

The owners of the restaurant initially believed a series of six alarms were just false alarms. After they noticed the missing money, they checked the surveillance video.

Bates is facing a list of charges including, burglary and theft.
