Picklesburgh Returning To Pittsburgh In July

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Picklesburgh is returning to Pittsburgh this year!

The event will be held July 15 and 16 on the Rachel Carson Bridge between Downtown and the North Shore. Picklesburgh festivities will be held from noon to 10 p.m. on both days.

Dozens of vendors will selling everything from pickle juice to pickle-themed merchandise.

A demo area will be set up to teach visitors about home canning and pickling. Local chefs, bartenders and pickling clubs will be on-hand to help teach.

There will also be live music and free activities for the whole family.

The 35-foot pickle balloon will also be on display again this year.

According to a press release, the pickle juice drinking competition returns as well. More than 60 participants will attempt to down a quart of pickle juice in pursuit of a $500 grand prize.
