Beaver Co. Humane Society Looking For Furniture Donations

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Beaver County Humane Society wants your old furniture to raise money for its animals.

The items will be sold at the Humane Society Thrift Store.

Pick up is available, but you need to have at least four pieces of furniture and live within a 10-mile radius of the store in Beaver Falls.

In a press release, shelter Executive Director Susan Salyards says: "Adding this service will allow us to expand our Thrift Store operation. When we get furniture in the store, it doesn't last very long. New changes are coming to our Thrift Store, and picking up furniture is just the beginning."

Items they will not accept include:

  • Television sets
  • Entertainment centers
  • Exercise equipment
  • Large appliances
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Sofa beds
  • Fluorescent lamps
  • Paint
  • Live plants

The pick-up service will be available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
