Three People Killed In Indiana Co. Crash Identified

INDIANA COUNTY (KDKA) -- Three people died in a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle in Indiana County Friday evening.

The crash occurred on State Route 286 near State Route 217 in Black Lick Township around 7 p.m. Friday.

The Indiana County coroner's office has identified two of the victims as 46-year-old Raymond Stumpf of Aultman, Pa., and 65-year-old Thomas B. Kenney Jr. of Homer City. The Allegheny County coroner's office identified the third victim as 44-year-old Shannon Stumpf, the wife of Raymond Stumpf. She was flown from the scene to Forbes Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m.

According to state police, Stumpf and his wife were on a motorcycle travelling in the westbound lane of the road toward Saltsburg Borough while Kenney was driving a sedan in the eastbound lane of the road toward Indiana Borough. Kenney lost control of his vehicle on a bend in the road, crossed the center line into the other lane and struck the motorcycle.

Both Stumpf and Kenney died of blunt force trauma at the scene of the crash.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
