South Side Slopes Carjacking Suspect Sought

SOUTH SIDE SLOPES (KDKA) – A carjacking suspect is still on the run after an incident in the South Side Slopes Sunday night.

According to police, the incident happened in the 2100 block of Eccles Street around 11:51 p.m.

A male suspect approached a vehicle, pulled out a gun and ordered two people to the ground. His face was concealed by a gray shirt. Only one of the victims was inside the vehicle at the time.

The suspect got in and drove away in the direction of Vermont Way while still pointing the gun at the victims.

He is described as being an African-American male between 18 to 25 years of age. He is about 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans.

Aside from the vehicle, the suspect also got away with a 9 mm handgun, a cell phone and a wallet with an unknown amount of cash.
